COVID-19… What we are doing:
We want to reassure our customers that we have always prioritised providing a clean and safe venue for our customers to enjoy.
In response to this, we have increased our cleaning regimes, and have brought in extra measures in an effort to keep our venue as clean as possible, with extra attention being given to more susceptible surfaces ie. doorhandles, keys etc. which we regularly clean with disinfectant.
We will continue to monitor the situation, and inline with advice from the NHS and PHE, will continue to increase these practices in an effort to minimise the risk to both our customers and the staff here at Touch Sauna.
Furthermore, we respectfully ask that you please do not attend if you have symptoms of a cough, fever, or shortness of breath and if you also suspect you may have been in contact with someone who may have a case of COVID-19. Please call NHS 111 for further advice .
What you should do…
In addition to these measures, we feel that it would be useful to share with you the Latest Guidance for England.
In Summary, the general principles to prevent the spread of the infection (and any respiratory virus) include:
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or use an alcohol-based sanitiser if soap and water are not available.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Cover your cough and sneezes with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the bins provided. Immediately wash your hands again.
- Do your best to regularly disinfect frequently touched surfaces in the home (as we will be doing for you in our venue).
- If you experience symptoms, (cough, high temperature and or shortness of breath) stay indoors and avoid contact with other people. Phone 111 for guidance.
MonkeyPox… What are We doing / What Advice is available?
Alongside our already stringent cleaning procedures, we have implemented further measures to combat the recent outbreak of MonkeyPox in the UK. We are aware that some of our customers travel from other areas, hence why we are doing our best to help mitigate any cases with these increased measures.
We are in contact with our local Public Health Specialist and in communication with our local Sexual Health clinic to ensure that we can offer as much guidance as possible to our customers in an effort to reduce the spread of MonkeyPox.
During the current monkeypox outbreak we request the following individuals NOT to attend the sauna:
- Those who have tested positive for monkeypox and are currently isolating.
- Those who have symptoms compatible with monkeypox.
- Those who have been told they are a high or medium risk contact and have been advised to self-isolate or avoid contact with people at higher risk of serious illness (young children, or individuals who are pregnant or immunosuppressed).
The symptoms of monkeypox include:
- Recent unexpected/unusual spots, ulcers or blisters anywhere on your body
- A high temperature
- Headaches
- Muscle aches
- Swollen glands
- Chills
- Exhaustion
Posters are up around the venue with a QR code offering further information about the outbreak / symptoms. Along with guidance about the infection.
